数年前までの1ー2年くらいですが、スーパーにmy容器を持参して、量り売りの食品や野菜、果物を買っていました。COVIDが始まるちょっと前くらいかな？my容器の持ち込みが禁止されてしまいました。州の条例でダメになったのか、査察が入ってダメということになったのかわかりませんが。最近のニュースで知ったのですが、オレゴン州のスーパーでは、今年の2月からmy容器持ち込みOKになりました（店の方針で可能かどうか決まる）。そこで、私の大好きなローカルスーパーのNew Seasons Marketにmy容器の持ち込みができるようになるのか聞いてみました。その回答がこれです。

Until several years ago, for about a year or two, I used to bring my containers from home to grocery stores and buy bulk items and produce. A little before the start of COVID? Customer-brought containers got prohibited. I don’t know if it was because of a new state ordinances or because of inspections. I learned from recent news that retail store patrons can already bring reusable food containers from home since February of this year (whether or not it is possible depends on the store’s policy). So, I asked my favorite local grocery chain, New Seasons Market, if they would change the policy to allow customers to bring in their containers. Here is the answer.

It looks promising. In late spring, signs will be put up in stores in the bulk and produce sections.

my容器って、実は便利なんですよー。私はガラスの容器に、容器の重さ（店の人が書く）、4桁の商品番号、商品名を書いて店に持って行ってました。

1. 毎回、同じ容器を同じ商品に使える。だから、量り売りの商品番号を毎回書く必要がない。
2. 洗って何回も使える。
3. リサイクル（洗って、乾かして、リサイクルに持っていく）する手間が省ける（これ重要）！

Using my containers to shop is actually convenient. I wrote the tare weight (the weight of the container, store clerk wrote it), 4-digit product number, and product name on a glass container and brought it to the store.

1. The same container can be used for the same product every time. So you don’t have to write the bulk product number every time.
2. It can be washed and used many times.
3. It saves you the hassle of recycling (washing, drying and taking to recycling)(this is important)!
