ブログを始めてから三ヶ月半、ガーデニングのことを色々書いて来たわけですが、書きっぱなしでフォローできてませんでした。あれはどうなったんだろうと思っている方もいるのではないでしょうか？ということで、今回は更新特集です。

I have been writing about gardening for three and a half months since I started this blog, but I have not been able to follow up. Some of you may be wondering what happened to this or that? So, I am writing updates this time.

6月7日：鳥よけリボン（リンクはここ）

👍：鳥よけリボンはあまり効果がなかった👎ので、鳥よけ網でイチゴを覆いましたね。その効果はてきめんで、以降イチゴを鳥に食べられていません。おかげさまで豊作🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓。今朝は早起きしてイチゴジャムを作りました。

June 7: Bird Scare Tape (Link is here)

👍: The bird scare tape wasn’t really effective👎, so I ended up covering the strawberries with a bird net. The effect of this was remarkable, and the strawberries have not been eaten by birds since then. Thanks to that, I got a bountiful harvest🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓 I got up early this morning and made strawberry jam.

5月31日：ハタネズミ（リンクはここ）

👍👎：最初に買ったネズミ捕りが不良品なんじゃないかと思い、違う会社の6個セットを買って、あちこちに仕掛けました。そして、ようやく一匹捕まえました。でも、その後も新しく地面に穴が開けられています。ネズミは1匹見たら100匹いると思え、と言いますね。想像すると恐ろしい。。。

May 31: Voles (Link is here)

👍👎: I thought the first mousetrap I bought was defective, so I bought a set of 6 from a different company. I set it up here and there. And finally caught one. However, new holes have appeared on the ground since then. They say that if you see one mouse, you should think there are 100. Horrible thing to imagine….

5月10日：赤椿元気ない（リンクはここ）

👍：新しい葉っぱが出てきました。まだ、古い葉っぱは落ちていってますが、新しい葉っぱが生き残ってくれるよう祈ってます。原因はやっぱり不明だけど、冬が記録的な寒さだったからかなぁ。頑張れ、椿ちゃん！

May 10: Red Camellia Weakening (Link is here)

👍: New leaves have appeared. The old leaves are still dropping, but I pray that the new ones will survive. I’m not sure why my red camellia was not doing well, but I think it was because of the record breaking low temperature. Hang in there, my red camellia!

5月3日：ボカシコンポスト（リンクはここ）

👍👍：今年2回目のコンポスト収穫（回収？）。天気がよい日が続いたので水分量が減り、丁度いい感じに仕上がってました。なので、効率よく収穫でき、カートいっぱいになりました。今すぐに使わないので、半分はタンブラーに入れて熟成させます。1週間に一回タンブラーを回します。Earth Machine™️の中で、冬に入れておいた庭の枯れた植物の分解をボカシコンポストが促進してくれるので、残渣（分解されていないもの）が少ないですね。

May 3: Bokashi Compost (Link is here)

👍👍: This year’s second compost harvest (collection?). The amount of moisture has decreased because of the stretch of sunny days, so it was done just right. Hence, I was able to harvest efficiently and I got a cart full of compost. I won’t be using it right away, so I put half of it in a tumbler and will mature it further. Spin the tumbler once a week. In the Earth Machine™️, Bokashi compost accelerated the decomposition of dead plants from my garden I put in the past winter, so the leftover (things that are not decomposed fully) was less.

4月24日：モグラ取り（リンクはここ）

👍👍：先日報告した通り、一匹のモグラを捕獲（リンクはここ）。その後、モグラの被害は出ていません。その代わり、ハタネズミがのさばっているけど。

April 24: Mole Trap (Link is here)

👍👍: As I reported the other day, I caught a mole (Link is here). Since then, there has been no damage from moles. Instead, voles have everything their own way.

3月27日：菌根（リンクはここ）

👍：植えた豆の、全部が全部、芽が出て育ったわけではないんですが（半分くらい？）、生き残っている豆は元気一杯です。菌根の成果かわかりませんが。追いつかなくなる前に、週に一回さやを収穫してます。

March 27: Mycorrhizae (Link is here)

👍: Not all of the peas I planted sprouted and grew (about half?), but survivors are full of energy. I am not sure it is the effect of Mycorrhizae, though. I harvest the pods once a week before it is out of control.
