〜Buy Nothingグループ、いいですよ💕 Love Buy Nothing Group💕〜

先週の水曜日はスイッチが入って、片付けモードでした。色々と不要品を処分します。

Last Wednesday, my switch was turned on and I tidied up some stuff. I disposed of various unwanted items.

まずは、子供の浴衣。あげられる人がいなかったので、取っておいたのですが、思い切ってFacebookのJapanese Women Portland-JWPDXで売ることにしました。8月5日にSEポートランドで盆踊りがあるので、いっぱい売れるといいんだけど。今のところ、浴衣1着、帯1本、髪飾りが売れました。投稿したポストは以下です。

First of all, children’s Yukatas (Summer Kimono). I didn’t have anyone to give them to, so I had kept them. I decided to sell on Facebook Group, Japanese Women Portland-JWPDX. On August 5th, there will be a Bon Odori
Festival at SE Portland, so I hope it will sell a lot. So far, I have sold 1 Yukata, 1 Obi (Sash for Yukata), and an hair accessory. My post is as below.

それから、お父さんのところから凛花が持って来た、成長して着れなくなった服。これはまた同僚に引き取ってもらいました。4歳と7歳の女の子がいる人で、いつもうちのお下がりを引き取ってもらってます。本当に助かる〜

Then, there are some grown out clothes Rinka brought from her father’s place. I again gave them to my colleague. She has two girls, ages 4 and 7, and I always give hand-me-downs from my daughters to her. I’m really grateful~

最後に、パーティー用品（写真上）。これらはこのエリアのBuy Nothingグループにあげました。これは大人気。即全部引き取るという返答があったのですが、投稿に「金曜日まで待ってあげる人を決める」と書いてしまったので、さっさと処分したかったけど、金曜日まで待ちました。そして、当選者を発表して、翌日引き取り。誰にあげるかは、出品者の独断と偏見です。「一番早く引き取ってくれる人」という条件が多いですが、そうすると一日中Facebookを見てられない人は不利になるので、今回の私みたいに「（いつ）まで待って決定します」とする人もいます。

Lastly, party supplies (pictured above). I gave these to someone through Buy Nothing group in my neighborhood on Facebook. This item was very popular. I received a reply that she would take everything immediately, but I wrote in the post that I would simmer it until Friday, so I had to wait until then although I wanted to get rid of it quickly. The winner was announced on Friday and the item was picked up the next day. It is the author’s dogma and prejudice to whom to give. We can put conditions when we post items that “priority to the person who will take it in the earliest” is most common, but if you do so, people who can’t look at Facebook all day are at a disadvantage, so some people like me who would say, “I’ll simmer it until (when).”

このBuy Nothingグループが本当に面白い。全て無料で物品を人から人へ渡しているサイトです。私もちょくちょく利用させてもらってます。

This Buy Nothing group is really interesting. It is a Facebook Group that passes goods from person to person, all for free. I use it from time to time.

新しいものを買う必要がなくなって、ゴミも減る。とっても地球に優しいですね。しかも近所の人と関わりを持つこともできる。おもちゃのキッチンセットは小学校の先生にもらっていただいて、そこの幼稚部で活躍しています。そんな大義名分抜きにしても、いろんなものが出品されていて、見てるだけでも楽しいですよ。

You don’t have to buy new things, and you create less waste. It’s very earth friendly. Also, you can interact with your neighbors. Our toy kitchen set was given to an elementary school teacher, and it is being used in the kindergarten there. Even without such a just cause, there are various items on display, and it’s fun just to look at them.
