っていうのが最初の感想でした。だって、瓶の蓋って金属だけど、内側に色々ついているじゃないですか？でも、大丈夫です！リサイクルできます！金属を細かくした後に、プラスチックなどの不純物が取り除かれます。その後さらに溶かされるので、少しプラスチックやシリコンなどがついていてもOKです。

That was my first impression. After all, bottle lids are metal, but don’t they have some things on the inside? But, it’s okay! It can be recycled! After the metal is shredded, impurities such as plastics are removed. After that, it will be melted, so some plastic, silicone, etc. attached on the metal lids is OK.

瓶は再利用するのが一番ですが、あまりにも増えたり蓋が錆びたりしたらリサイクルするのが二番目にいい方法ですね。

It’s best to reuse bottles, but if you have too many or the lids get rusty, recycling is the second best option.

＜瓶の金属蓋のリサイクル方法＞

1. 軽く洗い流した金属の蓋を缶詰などのもっと大きい金属の容器に入れる。
2. 蓋を閉める（中のものが飛び出すと危ないので。しかも切り口で怪我しないように）。
3. リサイクルのカートに入れる。

<How to recycle metal jar lids>

1. Place rinsed metal lids into a larger metal container, such as a steel can.
2. Close the lid (it’s dangerous if the contents fall out. Also, be careful not to get hurt by the cut end).
3. Put it into your recycling cart.

蓋を誤ってぐるっとくり抜いてしまった場合には、完全に金属容器の中に入れて外に飛び出さないようにしてください。リサイクルの過程でパーンとはじかれて従業員にあたると大怪我してしまいますので。

If you accidentally pry the lid all the way out, place it completely inside a metal container to prevent it from falling out. During the recycling process, it could get repelled and hit a worker, causing serious injury.

金属は貴重なマテリアルで（貴金属でなくてもね😉）、何回もリサイクルできます。

Metals are valuable materials (even if they’re not precious metals😉) and can be recycled many times.

以下、Far West Recyclingに工場見学に行った時の写真です。色々な金属が回収されていました。鉄製の金属、非鉄金属、アルミ、スチールなど。ケーブルなどに使われている銅線などは高く売れるらしいです。
