Time to Say Goodbye さよならをいう時

14 years since my ex and I bought this car and almost 10 years since I started driving it, the time has come to replace it. The car was still good if I would have got it fixed, but it came to the point that it doesn’t make sense to do it and continue using gas (it doesn’t make sense to warm the planet more than this).

この車を元夫と買ってから14年、私が運転し始めてから約10年、買い替える時が来てしまいました。修理をすればまだ乗れたんですが、そうするのもどうかなという時点まできてしまったのと、ガソリンを使い続けるのもどうかなと思って(これ以上地球を温めるのもおかしな話で)。

After I lost my Nissan Leaf in 2023 by deer attack (that’s what the insurance called it), I was thinking about getting another EV when my Lexus hybrid goes bad. I didn’t think it came this fast.

(My Lexus was used by Maya from 2022 to 2023. I got Nissan Leaf for myself. After I lost Nissan Leaf, Maya went back using public transportation.)

2023年に鹿にぶつかって来られて日産リーフを失った後、ハイブリッドのレクサスがダメになったらまた電気自動車を買おうと思ってました。こんなに早く来るとは。

(2022年から2023年にかけて真耶がレクサスを使ってました。自分用に日産リーフを購入。日産リーフを失ってからは、真耶がまた公共交通機関を使うことに。)

I had a nice pamphlet about EVs from Electric Living Fair last month. I almost recycled it because I thought I didn’t need it for a while. But I am glad I kept it in case (I had a feeling…).

先月のエレクトリックリビングフェアで貰ったパンフレット。当分いらないと思ってリサイクルしようと思ったんですが、思いとどまって取っておいたんです。そうしておいてよかった。
