〜Ah, Chips. チップスよ。〜 It seems that chips are always sold in plastic bags (multi-layer bags)…The best thing I can (should) do is to shed my addiction to chips…But what I did instead,,, チップスはたいていプラスチックのパッケージに入って売られてますね。。。一番いいのはこのやめられないチップスを食べないようにすること。。。でも私が代わりにしたことは、、、 After all, I am still eating chips😅, but I didn’t buy plastics! 結局チップス食べてるじゃん😅 でもプラスチックは買ってないわよ！

〜15年来考えていたバックヤードハビタット認定に向けて動き始めました。 I have been thinking about Backyard Habitat Certification for 15 years. I finally started working on it.〜 ＜リスト＞ <List> 私が住んでいるオレゴン州のポートランドは、リサイクルが盛んだったり、海も山も近いのでアウトドアを楽しむ人が多かったり、環境問題に関心が高い人が多いところです。この「バックヤードハビタット認定プログラム」も、そんなポートランドならではのプログラム。Portland Audubonという鳥類保護の団体とコロンビア土地信託が行なっているプログラムで、自宅の庭にこの土地の在来種を植えて、この土地の野生種に優しい環境を作ることを促進するものです。15年前に家を買った時から気になっていたんですが、当時は私が住んでいるワシントン郡は対象外でした。いつのまにか対象内になっていたので、応募することにしました。応募してから三ヶ月ほどでようやく連絡が来ました。 Portland, Oregon, where I live, is famous for recycling, outdoor activities since it is close to the ocean and mountains, and the people who are very concerned about environmental issues. 〜マスターリサイクラーのクラスが忙しくてなかなかブログが更新できない。 I have been busy with Master Recycler Class, so I cannot update my blog often.〜 ＜リスト＞ <List> 長女が選んだ難問第二（第一はスイカ）。カリフラワー。春に種から育てて、秋になってようやく収穫できました〜。15粒くらい植えて生き残ったのが5つ。そして実ができたの一つ。勝率低い！じつはなかなか実ができないから全滅したと思って諦めてたんですが、葉っぱがカールしはじめたなぁと思っていたら中に実ができてました。収穫したカリフラワーはお店で買うのと同じくらいの大きさ。味もカリフラワー。収穫後すぐに調理したら、アブラナ科独特の臭いが少なくて美味しかったです。 The second difficult problem chosen by my eldest daughter (the first was watermelon).
